Organisation of events and assemblies at the UW
The rules for the organisation of assemblies at the university are set out in Article 52. of the Law on Higher Education and Science:
- Members of a higher education institution community shall have the right to organise gatherings on the premises of the higher education institution. The organisation of a gathering on the premises of the higher education institution shall require the consent of the rector.
- The organisers shall notify the rector of their intention to organise a gathering at least 24 hours before the commencement of the gathering. In cases justified by the urgency of the matter, the rector may accept a notice submitted within a shorter time limit.
- The rector shall refuse to grant the consent referred to in sec. 1 or prohibit the gathering if its purpose or programme violates the law.
- The rector may delegate their representative to attend the gathering.
- The organisers of gatherings shall be accountable to the authorities of the higher education institution for their course.
- After notifying the organisers, the rector or their representative shall dissolve the gathering if it is held in violation of the law.
